Hello As a computation Manager and responsible for the computation operation in my company I was on duty also when bug2000 supposed to attack. Persons who saw and hear me in meeting prior to the bug2000 date could impress that i dont expect any Katastrofal problem if there would be any problem it would be a a small problem mainly date stamp problems The big day came , I was on duty and ... nothing happened no any Blue screen on any NT , even on NT that was working with service pack1 wich is not year 2000 compliant same was with novell3.12 server that was not installed with a patch that should be installed and again ... this server works fine even now . the only problem i have noticed was a time stamp in our mail server machine wich use old Unix system and even this time stamp corrected by a patch one day after .... So in General , I say that panic arround the year2000 was much more then it should be indeed , i dont say that this issue shouldnt be take care of , however it should be not so dramatic as peoples did here So no dought that few (and i think much more then few) companies bank account , is bigger then it was because on good profit they made on innocent and afraid peoples that thought that if they will not make serious preperation for bug200 and spend a lot of money to get protected from the bug they will be in big troubles well now at least we have 1000 year of quiet and this companies will have to find another gimick for them to make their money .
